March Triathlon Series

March Triathlon Series, also known as MTS, is a series of races held annually in March at Lopez Lake in Arroyo Grande, CA. While late in the season for collegiate triathlon, the race sits early in the spring, at the start of most tri seasons. In tasked with the branding of the event I drew from the beautiful remote venue and the team that makes the race so unique.

The visual system was inspired by the 3 stage event and the natural beauty of surrounding the race—the teal water, rust colored mountains, and golden grasses and wildflowers. The logo was an angled shard bringing the ideas of speed, sunbeams, and competition. Year after year these simple elements create a bold, flexible system to match the charisma of the CP Triathlon Team.
